We are extremely pleased to announce that the UNO-St. Claude Gallery will host “Intersecting Lines,” featuring the work of Anemona Crisan and Birgit Pleschberger. Their two-dimensional compositions emphasize line and value in works that evoke time, change, and movement. The exhibit marks the 16th iteration of the UNO-Center Austria artist exchange, an annual collaboration between artists from The University of New Orleans and Innsbruck, Austria. The UNO Department of Fine Arts and Center Austria have worked together since 2000-2001 to send artists from the Fine Arts program to Innsbruck, and Innsbruck artists to UNO, to exhibit their work and to facilitate global opportunities for our artists. Crisan and Pleschberger bring their show to us from Innsbruck, and Crisan will be in New Orleans for the opening reception.
The gallery, located at 2429 St. Claude Ave., will hold an opening reception on Saturday, November 14, from 6-9 p.m. Exhibit dates are November 14 – December 6, 2015. Regular gallery hours are Sat-Sun, from 12-5 p.m.
