UNO St. Claude Gallery is pleased to announce Kailee Bal’s thesis exhibition titled Realm Bound. Bal paints stills from branching video game narratives to explore the anxieties reflected in everyday decision making. She also takes photographs from the everyday that mimic the aesthetics of video games that blur the line between the escape to the comforts of video games with the refuge found in the acts of painting and photography. Through the scenes, she creates opportunities for the viewer to make their own connections and reexperience their own moments of choice in life.

This exhibition will open April 12, 2025, through May 3, 2025. The artist will discuss her work in the gallery on April 12 at 6:30 PM with an open viewing until 9:00 PM. Refreshments will be served, and the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. The exhibition is open during gallery hours: Saturday and Sundays, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
